This will work on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with updated Android Nougat 7 version to a Samsung smart tv. Remember they call it smart view now not screen mirror.
If you want to mirror these Galaxy phones to a nonsmart TV you have a tons of options like using chromecast, screenbeam mini2, Roku etc. you also have wired devices you can mirror with as well. There are pros and cons to all of them. I have a ton of videos on screen mirroring these phones on my channel. Some require a wifi network and other don’t it’s a direct connection.

I have connected my S7Edge to my Sony Bluray player with no issues. The problem I'm having is that the movies or videos seem to be in constant buffering mode. It will not play any videos normally. Idk what the issue is 🤷♀️
